PRES. EMMANUEL & BRIGITTE MACRON INVITED INDIAN PM MODI TO A BANQUET DINNER

USPA NEWS - French President Emmanuel and his wife Brigitte Macron welcomed Indian Prime Minster Narendra Modi, and his delegation in their honour, to a banquet dinner at the Louvre Museum. India is the guest of Honour in 2023, of France, for celebrating the Franco-Indian friendship during the National Day.
The happy few members of the French government and celebrities amongst the two hundred guests, (PM Elisabeth Borne Minister of Culture Rima AbdulMalik, Minister fo Defence & Army, Sebastien Lecornu, Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin.) and their Indian counterparts, attended this official dinner at the prestigious Louvre, the largest Museum of the world, on the occasion of the 14 of July, the French National Day, also called « Bastille Day ». The guest of honor, received a festive welcoming and are to be treated to a special viewing of a number of iconic works, the presidency said.

PRESIDENT EMMANUEL AND BRIGITTE MACRON ELEGANT AND JOYFULLY WELCOMED PM NARENDRA MODI AT LOUVRE The Republican Guard Orchestra sang many famous tunes including the Irish ballad as guests arrived and walked the red carpet. Some were accompanied by their wives, highly dressed up, with evening gowns. PM Elisabeth Borne, (whose current rumors speak of her being replaced in an upcoming reshuffle of the current government) wore a beautiful black and gold gown. The Minister of Foreign Affairs also made the effort to wear a black evening dress, which suited her very well (Rarely seen in an evening dress). The wives of economy ministers Bruno Lemaire and Gerald Darmanin, and of the Secretary General of the Elysee Palace Alexis Kohler, were all also very elegant. However, the one who dethroned all the wives was Brigitte Macron, who, smartly, wore a very chic cream-colored dress, tightened at the waist by a gray embroidered belt, matching her mini purse, also showed elegance by inviting PM Elisabeth Terminal at the joiner and the two Heads of State for the family photo, at the entrance gates of the Richelieu wing of the Louvre Museum. Laurence des Cars, the first woman to lead the Louvre museum state alongside these presidential guests. During the photocall, improvised by the rare photographers and journalists present, shooting the arrivals of the guests on the red carpet with the famous pyramid of the Louvre in the background.

FRENCH ELEGANCE AND GOOD SAMARITAN ATTITUDE WITH BRUNO LEMAIRE There was nothing weird to report, during this red carper venue, at Louvre Museum, apart from the arrogance of a French football player of Indian origin, who did not even deign to look at the photographers, who begged him to look at the lenses of the cameras...While the officials and ministers were playing the game. A small detail which has its importance, was the attitude of Good Samaritan on the part of Bruno Lemaire the French minister of economy and finance who assisted a guest, with reduced mobility who had trouble walking with his cane and gave up his arm busy embracing that of his wife, the time to lend his arm to this guest who is weakened in his mobility and help him to walk. Elegance and humanism, facing a disabled person, was to be remarked at this presidential banquet, along the red carpet/photocall.

PRESIDENT MACRON CELEBRATED HIS FIRST INVESTITURE ON COURTYARD DU LOUVRE IN 2017
In 2017, when Emmaunel Macron was elected, for the first time President of the Republic, on May 7, he had celebrated on the esplanade of the Louvre, around 10:30 p.m., a few hours after the announcement of his victory in the election. presidential election to a European anthem that had left its mark on French citizens and even foreigners. THE LOUVRE IS THE LARGEST MUSEUM & A MAJOR FRENCH LANDMARK IN THE WORLD HOSTING BY VINCI'S MONA LISA PIECE The Louvre Museum is a national art museum in Paris, France, Tone of the top French flagships flagship central landmark of the city, it is located on the Right Bank of the Seine in the city's 1st arrondissement (district or ward) and home to some of the most canonical works of Western art, including the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo. The museum is housed in the Louvre Palace, originally built in the late 12th to 13th century under Philip II. Remnants of the Medieval Louvre fortress are visible in the basement of the museum. Due to urban expansion, the fortress eventually lost its defensive function, and in 1546 Francis I converted it into the primary residence of the French Kings.

The building was extended many times to form the present Louvre Palace. In 1682, Louis XIV chose the Palace of Versailles for his household, leaving the Louvre primarily as a place to display the royal collection, including, from 1692, a collection of ancient Greek and Roman sculpture. In 1692, the building was occupied by the Académie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres and the Académie Royale de Peinture et de Sculpture, which in 1699 held the first of a series of salons. The Academy remained at the Louvre for 100 years. During the French Revolution, the National Assembly decreed that the Louvre should be used as a museum to display the nation's masterpieces.

PRESIDENT MACRON AWARDED THE GRAND CROSS HONOUR MEDAL TO INDIAN PM NARENDRA MODI That same morning, PM Narendra Modi, had attended the traditional July 14 military parade which took place, in Paris on the Champs Elysées from the Presidential stand alongside Emmanuel Macron, guest of honor on the occasion of the national holiday, despite a tense security climate. Indian armed forces members participated in the French military parade. After a passage of the nine Alphajets of the Patrouille de France, which colored the Parisian sky blue white red, the parade on foot was opened by 240 members of the Indian armed forces, some wearing turbans. After lunch, the PM Modi, was decorated by the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron with the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honor, the highest French distinction. "This decoration comes to salute the role of the Prime Minister in the excellent relationship of friendship and trust that unites France and India", (Source French Presidency), PM Modi, expressed his great gratitude and pride in receiving this prestigious decoration, during the joint declaration having taken place the afternoon around 5: pm, at the Elysee Palace "The President awarded me the Legion of Honor of the Grand Cross, demonstrating an immense tribute and mark of respect for the 1.4 Billion Indians and we are celebrating this year the 25th year of strategic partnership on the solid foundation of the last 25 years and friendship, "said PM Modi. During his two-day visit, the Indian PM Narendra Modi who arrived in Paris, On Thursday 13 July, was awarded the country’s top honor by French President Emmanuel Macron, making him the first Indian prime minister to get it. Earlier in the Bastille Day, 14th July the prime minister graced the Bastille Day parade, which included Indian military members, within this hottest part of the French National Day celebrations, as the guest of honour, in 2023. French President Macron announced, already, that next Bastille Day's parade would be held from Vincennes- to Nation Square, rather than Champs Elysee, in 2024, during the period of Paris 2024, to mark Olympic & Paralympic Games, for that instance.
